Position Title: Youth Food Distribution Packer, Part-Time

Under the direction of the Food Distribution Assistant Manager the Youth Food Distribution Packer has the responsibilities of a food packer including prepping and packing food and drinks for distribution. This position assembles containers or packaging, place products into the packaging, seals them securely, and labels the size of the family and number of bags in a bin.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sort and pack food products.
- Label packages with product information and weight.
- Place packages and bags in storage bins.
- Use a hard cart or pallet jack to move bins to walk-in refrigeration for storage.
- Pull defective products.
- Stock station with packaging materials.
- Keep up with assembly line or pace of production.
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to be punctual.
- Must be able to work with others cooperatively.
- Follows written and verbal communication.
- Must complete and pass pre-employment drug & alcohol screen.
- Refrain from unsafe work practices/behaviors.
- Must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality.
- Must possess and maintain a valid work permit if applicable.
- Obtain a Food Handlers card and follow food safety protocols.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
